About six weeks ago I got really angry.

I was angry at the giant gap between those who are successful and those who struggle online.

I was angry at the time it takes for people to learn the necessary skills to be able to compete in the online arena.

I was angry that so many good people FAIL to become successful entrepreneurs, not because they don’t work hard, but because they don’t know how to make the work they are doing really count.

It should be easier.

But you see it takes a magic combination of application, skill, and cashflow to make online business become easy.

Often by the time someone learns the skills to make it really work (copywriting, ebook creation, website editing, etc) it’s too late.

They’ve run out of cashflow and the time to apply the skills they’ve learned and they are out of luck.

So I decided to do something different.

To be a Rebel.

To pursue a Big Vision.

What if there was a way to SPECIFICALLY utilize other people’s work so that all they had to do is the application part?

7 Work From Home UK Ideas

Many people in different parts of the globe have found ways to work from home and live life they way they want to.  This is really a new industry in the UK and you can take advantage of it by starting early.  There are many legitimate ways to work from home in the UK, you just need to pick the one for you and put in a bit of work to get going.

The Work from home UK market is just getting started, here’s some ideas to be a part of it:

1. Get an “At Home Job”

Real work from home UK jobs are few and far between.  Most companies that advertise work from home jobs are really requiring you to set up your own business.  If you are going to go the business route you will want to be selective about who you work with.  If you are genuinely looking for a work from home UK job you will need to try talking to agencies as they will typically not allow business opportunities.  These jobs are rare in the UK as most companies will outsource to a foreign country or simply have call centres.  You will usually find these jobs are sales or customer service.

2. Run a Business from Your Home

If you have extra room in your house consider starting up as a Life coach, massage therapist, children’s daycare, etc.  It will take you some time to get whatever training and qualification is needed to be able to do this, but it can be very rewarding. If you are looking for work from home UK ideas as you’re a stay at home mom it is often not possible to keep set appointments with kids in the house.  You might consider something that didn’t require you to be at a certain place at a certain time.

3. Run a Business from Your Car

I don’t mean selling things from the boot of your car, but you can set up as an Avon lady or something similar.  You will need to both distribute and collect your catalogues (drop them to people’s houses and arrange a time to come collect the catalogue and any order).  When people place orders with you, you will earn a commission and also have to drop the goods to the person’s house.  This involves a lot of legwork, but can create a nice income for someone working from home.

4. Home Party Planning

Set up home parties to sell goods.  Many Home party style companies are only just moving into the UK in the last few years meaning the market is still fairly open and these parties are a novelty to many women.  You can sell shoes, handbags, lingerie, jewelry, etc.  You get together a group of women and turn it into a girly giggle where the women can look at your products and order whatever they’d like.

5. Work Online

Real work from home UK ideas are limited, but if you can work online it opens up the rest of the world to earn money from! Many UK residents are VERY successful online as not many British people are working online, so there is still a novelty factor, and people in other countries tend to love and trust the UK accent.  Run your own blog, make your own videos, etc.  Pick a niche that you might be interested in and start a website about it.  If you specifically target the UK with your website you have a higher chance of competing against other websites online as most internet marketers are based in the US.

You can earn from a website in multiple ways:  advertising (you get payed based on your traffic), affiliate commissions (recommend products your visitors would like), make your own products, have a “shop” section of your website and dropship products to your customers, etc.

6. Network Marketing

Network marketing is a HUGE growth industry in the UK.  Many network marketing companies move to the UK once they have gained a year or two of success in the states.  This means that UK residents get the benefits of the prelaunch (i.e. you get to market to a WIDE open market) without the risks (the company is proven and wont suddenly go bust).  This is my favourite work from home UK idea as it is a way to make money exponentially.  You have to build your business at the start, but once you get going you also make money from the efforts of your team and you can work less and earn more!  Try to find a network marketing company that is within it’s first two years of operating in the UK to really maximize your results.  If you don’t know what network marketing is read the What is MLM article to better understand.

7. Take Advantage of Global Trends

Using Facebook or Google+ you can sell products, promote a website, or get people into your network marketing company from accross the globe.  Don’t limit yourself to the UK market, but use the benefits of being from the UK.  Both UK residents and people from other countries tend to like and trust the many UK accents and you will want to use this to your advantage!  I work from Ireland, but market to the UK, the USA, and Australia as well as many other countries world wide.  My team uses Facebook to reach potential customers and business partners as it’s now a global phenomenon.  See an example of how to use Facebook as a work from home UK tool: Here.

Honestly I find most true work from home UK jobs to be fairly underpaid and limited.  Make a real income from home by combining different ideas, creating multiple streams of income, and marketing to the entire world through the internet.

Home business ideas for women who want to make it BIG!

Just because your a stay-at-home mom, or out of a job, or miserable in work, doesn’t mean you can’t earn your own income from home!  The following are the top 9 best home business ideas for women, listed from least recommended, to most recommended (for earning big money!)

If you really want to make big money I recommend skipping to the “online home business ideas for women” section, as the internet allows you to scale your efforts.  Any offline business is restricted by your circle of influence as well as your local reach.  Some women do prefer to work offline, and in that case the first section (Offline home business ideas for women) is for you!

9. Crafts and Home Products

This is really just a hobby.  A lot of women (particularly stay at home moms) like to do different arts and crafts.  It is possible to start a business selling your arts and crafts, however this is not going to be a big money maker in most cases.  You would have to find a way to mass produce and get your products into stores, or get a very popular website going to sell your products.  It’s a labor of love and don’t expect to make big money doing this.

8. Home Parties

This would typically be selling lingerie, bags, shoes, etc.  You get a bunch of women together, have food, have a giggle, and let them look through your products placing orders for anything they like!  The downside of home parties is you only make money when you can get a party together, and if you only have a limited circle of influence it will be hard to make steady money. Often you have to purchase the goods to show the women.  The upside is when you do get a party together you can make a decent amount in one go.

7. Sales Rep

Most women know at least one “Avon Lady”.  You can set up as a sales rep for a makeup or similar company.  They send you a magazine to show other women, they tell you what they want, you place the order which gets sent to you and then you deliver.  This is great if you know a lot of women and have a car!  Again you are limited to your sphere of influence and how far you can go to deliver.

6. Providing Services From Your Home

This would involve getting a qualification, but if you have some extra room there’s a lot you can do with it!  You can become a life coach, run a daycare, tutor children, learn massage therapy, etc.  You would want to market your business online so that you can make a good income by having steady clients.  If you have kids you need to consider will you be able to keep set appointments.

5. Freelancing

Join a website such as Elance and start doing writing or computer work from home for others.  You can also become a virtual assistant, just remember that the pay in this area is low.  You have to be quick and resourceful to make a decent income at this.  Online “jobs” simply don’t make a lot of money unless you have a specialized skill like web design, etc.

4. Special Interest Blog

This is a slow burner, but lots of fun if you have a particular interest that others share.  Many women have started blogs about childcare, about pregnancy, about home cooking, etc.  You can take the skills you have learned from home and show others how to do the same.  You can then earn advertising revenue from the site traffic (which will be tiny, but will get bigger the more traffic you build!)  The How to Blog Tutorial can show you how to set up a blog quickly and cheaply!

3. Affiliate Marketing

One of the best home business ideas for women as you can make money from other people’s products.  You promote online products (using a blog, social networks, paid ads, etc) that other people have made.  You typically earn 50% and upwards on commission!  Nowadays you can promote continuity program (membership programs) and keep making money every month from the same sale.  This article on affiliate marketing tools can show you more about how to set this up.

2. Network Marketing

Network Marketing, or MLM, is a great way to earn money from home because you can build up a residual income so you don’t have to keep slaving away to make money.  In this you market products for a company, but also promote the business.  You earn money from products you sell, but also products sold by those you brought into the company, and products sold by those THEY brought into the company, and so on.  You can rack up a huge monthly income fairly quickly (expect around 3-6 months working about 2 hours a day).  This article will better explain What is MLM and is it for you.

1. Multiple Streams of Income

The BEST way to make money is to combine several home business ideas for women.  I combine a special interest blog, with affiliate marketing, network marketing, and a Government approved Facebook income system.  This means that if one income stream takes longer to build you can still earn from another.  You will need to connect your income streams through a common niche or interest so that you aren’t splitting your efforts.  This way you can still just work 1-2 hours per day, but be growing several income streams through your efforts instead of just one.  You can learn more about how I do this by watching the Government Approved Facebook Presentation.  It will give you a good idea of what it takes to earn a substantial income from home in this economy.

If you are like most home business entrepreneurs you get A LOT of email.  And you probably open about 25% of your emails (or less).

As so many people are building their lists they are learning to offer great education and trainings in exchange for your name and email.  It’s something that’s easily given away and can’t do much harm, so you give it out freely and end up with an email inbox JAM PACKED with unopened emails.

Seriously, I get HUNDREDS every single day!

My previous technique was to let it build up until I had about 5,000 unopened emails, then finally go through and MASS DELETE!  But this left me at a serious disadvantage.  New product launches and events would happen in the industry, new training would be released, new marketing techniques would spread like wildfire and I would be left wondering, when did that happen?

To stay on top of the internet marketing game, you have to stay up-to-date on what’s going on in the industry.  The best way to do that is to open ALL your emails!

4 Reasons to Always Open Your Emails

1. Knowledge

You always stay current on what’s going on in the industry.  If you are trying to implement Attraction Marketing you want to be a leader to others.  The last thing you want is for your leads to know more about what’s going on then you do.  You may want to only use one technique, but the more knowledge you have the better.  Reading your emails will help you see what trends are really popular at the moment, if Google makes changes that will affect your marketing, how to make your work reach a larger audience, etc.

More and more marketers are waking up to the fact that to keep their list sweet they need to actually provide value.  This is great news as you’ll find more of your emails are actually content rich, and not simply constant affiliate links!

You need to be able to compete with others and in the MLM/Home business industry KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

2. Writers Read

One of the best ways to learn good copywriting (apart from taking a super expensive fancy course) is to simply read your emails.  What actually intrigues you?  What turns you off?  What feels like you’re being sold?  What MAKES YOU CLICK?????

You don’t need to study and take notes, but simply reading lots and lots of copy will help you get better and better at writing it, as it starts to get into your subconscious.

3. Endless Ideas

Everytime I watch a training, read a blog post, or open an email I can get at least one or two ideas for articles.  My blog (and any good MLM blog) depends on me constantly giving people good content.  I got the idea for this article simply from learning something really cool about article headlines buried in an email from Andy Jenkins (you should get on his list, cause he’s awesome!)  I knew it was something that would change my marketing for the better….and what if I’d never bothered to read it?

When starting out in article marketing good article topics can be so hard to come up with.  Now I don’t steal people’s ideas, but often seeing what other people teach helps me understand what people NEED TO KNOW!

I always keep a notepad open on my computer called “ideas”.  Whenever I come across a great email topic, or learn something new, or come up with a good idea it’s popped into the ideas pad.  Then when I sit down to work on my blog I’m never wondering what to write!

4. It Can Make You Money!

Back when I didn’t open emails I missed endless product launches.  I even avoided product launch emails because I didn’t want to be tempted to buy every single new product out there.  But I was missing out on a huge opportunity.  Nothing sells better than a new launching “hot” product.

If you open an email to see a product launching, go to the page and try and see if there is a way to become an affiliate for the product yourself!  If you have a list that might benefit from the product this could create another lucrative income stream for you.  I missed out on countless possible commissions before I realized this.  It’s next to impossible to know what’s going on or about to launch if you don’t OPEN YOUR EMAILS!

How to Make it Manageable

Be Selective

Don’t try to read 200 emails a day, you’d go crazy.  But be selective about who’s list you choose to STAY ON.  I still easily sign up for people’s lists, but I use the opt-out or unsubscribe option quite a bit.

Go through your emails and check to see who is delivering good content.  Are they teaching something in their emails?  Are they linking to blog posts or video with high level of content, or are they ONLY linking to affiliate products?

It’s pretty easy to judge when you look with a critical eye.  Whittle down the number of newsletters or email lists you are subscribed to and then ACTUALLY OPEN them.  A lot of people are afraid to unsubscribe because they think they might miss something….but if you aren’t opening any of your emails you’re missing EVERYTHING!

Most marketers won’t email more than once a day, so try to whittle your subscriptions down to 10 to 20 that are giving you great value.

Ultimate MLM Business Plan Template

Create a personalized MLM Business Plan in 30 minutes or less.

If you’ve recently started your own MLM business, or have been unsuccessful in an MLM for some time you need to have an MLM business plan.  Too many people start this business following a “simple three step system” for following up with people, or use a haphazard approach by talking to friends and family about their business.  What they don’t realize is that an MLM may be a simple way to make money and a great way to get started as an entrepreneur, but it should still be considered a business!

Every business needs a plan or strategy for success.  Simply taking the time to create your MLM business plan may mean the difference between success and failure.

The 6 sections of an MLM Business Plan

1. Your USP (Unique Selling Point)

What are you promoting?  Are you selling the product and then getting your customers to look at the business? Are you advertising a lifestyle and getting curious people to watch a company presentation? Both these strategies put you in direct competition with everyone else in your business.

To stay current and actually compete with everyone else in the home business arena today, you need to be promoting yourself.  Your abilities, knowledge, and leadership within the MLM market is what will sell you.  You need people to look at you as someone who can show them how to be a success and then they will sign up regardless of your company.

This is call Attraction Marketing.  If you have never heard of it I strongly encourage you to check out the Magnetic Sponsoring e-book that started this unique way of marketing.

Your USP should be you! How to set yourself apart from other leaders.  Are you approachable, a parent, a college student, a retiree, etc?  What will make people want to work with you?

2. The Lead’s Journey

What interaction does your lead have with you?  Are there ways to automate the relationship you are building (such as using an autoresponder)?  Do they have somewhere they can come to learn more from and about you (such as a blog or Facebook)?  Are you taking them through a journey so they will end up wanting to work directly with you?

This is best done in a flowchart or some visual way so that you can see the journey your lead goes on.  You might want to consider, at what point are you calling them, at what point are you getting them back to your blog and content, etc.

You obviously may be using different capture and relationship building techniques, but your flowchart should follow a similar process.  Don’t know how to set up a blog? The How to Blog Tutorial will show you how to do it quickly and cheaply!

3. Lead Generation Technique

How will you be marketing yourself and your business?  You will need to create a capture page that markets yourself, but how are you getting people to the page?

Some example techniques are: Content marketing, pay-per-click, social media marketing, etc.

You need to ensure that whatever you choose you learn EVERYTHING about that technique and keep at it until you get some success.  So many people become a “jack of all trades” and never master any marketing strategies or give up before they can become successful.

Be clear on what technique you will use to generate your traffic, and at what point you will be adding or changing techniques (i.e. article marketing until 10 leads a day, then adding in Facebook marketing until 20 leads a day, etc)  If you don’t know where to start sign up for the Lead Generation bootcamp at the right of this page to learn the top free marketing techniques that work online today.

4. Team Member’s Journey

What happens when someone joins your team? Most new MLMers quit within the first 90 days.  Up your retention rate by setting people up for success.  Get them to create their own MLM business plan.  Get the right tools in place for them (i.e. what marketing system will they use, how can they hit the ground running?)  Interact lots with them to make sure they use the momentum they get from signing up and get some wins fast.

You want this process to be fun and easy for people.  Let them benefit from your lessons and mistakes.  Have a clear plan for them to follow in their first 90 days so they don’t get confused, frustrated and quit.  You can be 100% open with them if you are teaching them to market themselves they wont become your competition!

A great way to take the pressure off yourself is to have an MLM attraction marketing system they can plug into that will do the legwork for you so they can learn from leaders and you don’t have to spend your time hand-holding.  I use MLSP for this.  You can read the My Lead System Pro Review and see if it might be a good option for your team-members.

5. The 2 Year Plan

Where do you want to be in 2 years?  Do you want to be building your business from your new beach home?  Do you want to be putting in 5 hours a day, or do you want to be more hands off?  You need to decide what you want so you can impliment the right marketing now!

If you do want to be more handsoff later you need to build some evergreen marketing!

This could be article marketing, building up a blog or website, etc.  You need something that will keep marketing for you even when you aren’t putting much work into it.  You may need to identify some key teammembers who can help lead your team when you step back.  Give them free leads to talk to etc, teach them your top techniques.

You probably didn’t join MLM to become a slave.  So include your future plans in your MLM business plan so that you can build your business in a way that you can step in and out if you need to.

6.  Your  Current 90 Day Commitment and Tracker

What are you going to do TODAY?  What are you going to do TOMORROW?  How are you going to move towards your goals?

If you’re unsure just give your marketing technique and MLM business plan a 90 day trial, at the end you will know whether you can be a success in MLM or not.

Create a 90 day goal of how much traffic you will build, how many leads you will generate, and how many sign-ups it will turn into.  Then track what you do weekly.

You have probably noticed that the MLM business plan does not look at SWOT analysis or competition.  That’s because anyone truly can be successful in MLM if they simply make a plan and follow it consistently until they achieve success.  If you stay up-to-date and use the methods described in Magnetic Sponsoring of promoting yourself you simply don’t have to worry about competition.  You just need to keep building yourself up and adding to your knowledge and expertise to make sure you become more and more desirable as a leader.
