I’m going to do something a little bit different today. Normally I write my articles on great products, great tips and tricks, and things you can do to really make market your business or website online. Today I’m going to tell you about my experience with Content Boss and why you SHOULD NOT buy this product. It’s important to point out that I did sign up for Content Boss, I did genuinely try it, and I did find that it will harm your article marketing strategy rather than help it! I could promote this product and even recieve affiliate commissions, but I would never promote something that is not going to give great value to my readers.

First let’s look at what you are trying to accomplish with Article Marketing. Article Marketing is the slow, but steady technique to build up your followers online. When people find you through articles you have written they only want to learn more about you if the content is high-quality, genuine, and has given them information of value.

The first step in article marketing is deciding what your customers or prospects most need to know about, doing the research or using your own experience and creating an article that will deliver that knowledge to them. The second step is to get people to see that article. One strategy that a lot of marketers use is to create many backlinks to their blog or article by “spinning” the article. Making many copies of the same article that link back to the original and submitting them to blogs and directories around the internet. This does two things, it creates backlinks that make your original article rise in the search engine results, and it spreads your information. Using this strategy I have often ranked in the search engines with spun versions of my article because different article directories get different rankings with Google and Yahoo based on a huge number of factors.

Now, many marketers try to cut corners, because spinning an article (writing 3 versions of the same article) can be time consuming. This is where Content Boss comes in. Content Boss spins the article for you. It creates a new version, or can create spin code (so you can put it in a submitter and get thousands of versions). Now Content Boss says that their spinner does not create gibberish because they use a technology that only targets the non-important words. But even on my first go using their technology it spun things like replacing “I do believe” with “I’m doing believe” and “very little help” with “very small help”. It’s important to note that, as automatic spinners go, it’s pretty good. It’s doesn’t come out with total gibberish, but a lot of the replacement words are quite questionable, and in many places didn’t make sense. At first I thought I could at least use it to speed up my spins and just correct the awkward changes, but this was more time consuming than re-writing it all myself.

The other problem I had with Content Boss is an ethical one. They use a tool that goes and finds content on the web that fits your keyword, that you can put in their spinner and claim as your own. In their user manual they even tell you how to deal with complaints from people who’s content you may have used. If this sounds great to you, by all means go do a search and find someone promoting Content Boss, I’m sure they’ll be happy to take your money. But even if this is not morally grey, it’s not going to help your reputation. If you get one complaint against you, you could get yourself kicked off the top directories. If you are promoting yourself as an expert you need to be creating your own unique content with your own unique flavour, as that is what people are attracted to work with. Again remember that VALUE is important. If you are simply respinning what’s already out there you aren’t giving people anything of any value.

If this is just for backlinks, why does it matter? Because your reputation online is the most important thing you have. If you are article marketing because you want people to work with you and join you in business you CAN’T have them think you are stupid. And automatic spinning (even with a good spinner) will make you look stupid. Using other people’s content will make you look untrustworthy, or at least it wont set you apart from the crowd.

Alright…enough of a ramble. I spent the initial money on this product, and I would like to give the value of that money (a not too expensive lesso) to all of you out there. You can make article marketing pretty easy, without having to cut corners. Honestly, he best tool I have found that allows you to make thousands of versions fairly quickly without looking like an idiot is Automatic Article Submitter. If you’re promoting yourself as an expert you must be making your own content with your very own flavour, as that’s what folk are drawn to work with. Again remember that value is crucial. If you’re simply respinning what’s already out there you are not giving folks anything of any particular value.

If this is just for back-links, why is it significant? Because your reputation online is the most significant thing you have. If you are article promotion as you desire folk to work with you and join you in business you can not have them think you are dumb. And automated spinning ( even with a good spinner ) will make you look dumb. Using other peoples’s content will make you look treacherous, or at least it wont separate you from the bunch.

Dubli Network is an up-and-coming company in the network marketing industry. It is attempting to go up against the biggest shopping portals online: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, eBay, etc. It’s claim is that through building a Dubli Network business you will be getting a small share every time your customers buy online.

But if you’re looking into this opportunity you are likely being told by the person trying to sell it to you that you are in the right place at the right time, that this is going to be huge and this leaves you with one big question.

Dubli: Scam or Opportunity?

Well, first off, I’m not with Dubli Network but I have reviewed the business model. This business is not a scam. A scam is defined by most online dictionaries as obtaining money by means of deception, a trick, or fraud. I believe the only thing Dubli Network distributors are guilty of is speculation. It can be hard to when a company is just starting to launch whether or not it is going to take off, and most Dubli Network distributors believe it is going to be the next big thing in online shopping. Certainly it has gained success in Europe, but is still fairly untested in the US and brand new to the Australian market.

One of the better things about Dubli Network is that there is a definite reason to grow your customer base and not just your distributors. Many MLM companies have a very tiny customer base and most customers are distributors themselves, which makes people doubt the value of the product. Whether or not this is going to appeal to customers is yet to be determined, but the distributors have an incentive to grow their customer base as this is where they will make the long term residual income.

There are three ways for you to make money in the Dubli Network opportunity.
Customer Auctions:
Your customers have to spend credits to take place in the reverse auction and in the price reveal auction. They must buy these credits from you, and you get them wholesale. If your customers participate in the auctions this can be lucrative for you, but to be honest very few people are actually going to walk away with the deals. They are making deals on items at the cost of other people spending credits. Many people will not continue to buy credits when they are getting nothing out of it.

Customer Shopping:
The shopping portal should be where you make the bulk of your money in the long run. You get small percentages every time your customer buys through the portal. They are incentivised to buy through Dubli Network as they also receive a small amount of money back when they buy. To make a significant income though you must get customers to see the value, which is why you start by getting them to use the sticky auction sites first.

Joining Distributors:
This is where the larger upfront money comes in. When you join up a new distributor you receive money for the credit package they purchase. They must purchase credits in order to participate as if they have no credits they cannot sell them to their new customers. The only problem with this is though Dubli Network distributors generally think of this initial package of credits as inventory (they can sell to customers at retail price) they often end up having to give a huge chunk of their credits away to get customers to try the site and join under them as a customer.

So are any of these ways of making money deceptive or fraudulent? In other words does this make Dubli Network a scam?

No, in each instance the person is receiving something for their money, either credits or products through the shopping portal. Dubli Network distributors do not get paid to train their distributors or get money for any other kind of intangible product. Distributors do bring other people in based on the idea that this business is going to take off and be the new largest shopping portal online, which is currently speculation, however pretty much every business starts this way. It will have to pass the test of time.

Though Dubli Network is not a scam, and is a customer driven opportunity, there is no doubt that to grow a successful Dubli Network business you must start by recruiting other distributors to build your network early on. This gives you the upfront profits while you work to build a huge customer base. If Dubli Network is the opportunity for you, to compete with all the other distributors online you must learn how to market your business, create a constant flow of leads, and generate cashflow to get your Dubli Network business up and running quickly. If you want to replace an income or more your fortune in an MLM opportunity you have to be online. Internet MLM marketing is a very competitive game, and very few people really know how to do it properly. It’s important that you not only learn how to market your business online properly, but also how to stand out from the crowd. Admittedly, with a bit of good training this shouldn’t be too hard, as so few people really know what they’re doing online. But as more and more MLM/Network Marketers learn to use the internet to grow their business you can’t get left behind.

What Type of Marketer Are You?

There are generally three different types of personalities online. Techies- These are the people who understand the technical side of things. They are generally good at crunching numbers, making websites, analyzing statistics. These people are generally best at driving traffic and really playing the numbers game rather than trying to connect one on one.

Creators- People who like to create content. This is often articles and videos. These people like to think about concepts and ideas, and often love to write. They are confident in their work and ability to help others through the content they produce. If you are a creator you are best off doing article or video marketing. Drive traffic to your website with your articles and connect to others by giving them content they can apply to their lives or business right away. These people will see you as a leader and want to work with you.

Social Animals- These are the people who hang out on social sites like Facebook and Twitter. They can spend endless hours connecting and talking to others online. Usually these people have one social network that they prefer and will check it more often than they check their personal email. They keep up with what’s going on and people can see they are consistent in their message online. If this is you than stick to your strength. Pick one social network and dedicate yourself to growing your connections and fostering them through contact help and support.

How do you know which one you are?
Most of you will have some idea already of what type of personality you are. If you don’t know, simply look at what you enjoy doing in your spare time. Do you spend hours talking to your friends on facebook? Do you write a personal blog or long personal emails? Do you enjoy analyzing results and learning how to use new programs and software? What do you do in your spare time online? Now take that and figure out where you fit in the three personality types so you can tailor your internet MLM marketing to fit you and start to achieve massive success.

Decide which area is your strength, LEARN everything you can so that you can specialize in that area, and then be consistent in your efforts.

So you are looking for a good MLM marketing lead? In MLM marketing the quality of your leads in much more important than the quantity. While it is important to get as many leads to talk to as possible, you definitely don’t want to be wasting your time with people who have only a casual interest in your business, or are openly suspicious and hostile. The quality of each MLM marketing lead is dependent on how that lead was generated. Quite often the methods that are most appealing to people (simply purchasing leads or advertising to huge lists) get you the worst leads. This results in frustration as it can be difficult to stay motivated and positive in your business when you are dealing with people who are not serious, have been called by 10 other marketers before you, or think you are trying to con them out of money.

What makes a good MLM Marketing Lead?

This depends greatly on how you connect with others. MLM is Network Marketing, so it is all about how you network with others, how they see you and if they think you are someone who can assist them in changing their life. It’s important to play to your strengths, and usually generating one good MLM marketing lead takes more effort than buying 1000 bed ones, but your efforts can be multiplied and will actually grow your business more quickly. You want leaders in your downline who will grow their business confidently and help you achieve a residual income.

Where does a good MLM Marketing Lead come from?
This is how I rank the quality of my leads. I stick to the type of marketing that combines both my strengths with high quality of leads.

1. Content Leads- These are leads generated through reading or viewing your articles and videos. Take the time to create content and syndicate it around the world. An MLM Marketing Lead generated this way will view you as a leader. If you’ve shown them your knowledge and expertise in the industry they see you as someone who can help them market a business. This is the best type of lead, someone who looks up to you and asks to work directly with you regardless of your business.

2. Social Media Leads- These leads have a personal connection with you on a social media site. They’ve seen through your posts and connections that you are in an area of business that they may interested in. People like to work with people they know, like, and trust. If you have created genuine friendships and connections on social media sites your leads will turn to you when they decide it’s time to make a change. Be aware that some social media leads will sign up as a prospect out of curiosity as they want to see what business you are in.

3. Advertising Leads- Leads generated through Google PPC campaigns, ezine solo advertising, etc. These leads have usually searched for a key term related to your business or are on an ezine list for a related subject. They are somewhat targeted in this way, but usually are a little more suspicious than the first two types of leads. They know they have been advertised to, so they usually wait for you to “prove” to them that your business is good. This can be a good way to generate an MLM marketing lead as it’s fast, easy, and as long as you have cashflow you have lead flow. Here you can play a numbers game.

4. Listbuilders- Listbuilders can get you a lot of leads in a short amount of time. The downside is usually the people who see your ad are trying to get credits to market their own business and may not have the resources to start a new business. These people are generally less serious about their own success and don’t always make the best distributors for your organization.

5. Lead Brokers- The very worst way to get an MLM marketing lead. Don’t even bother with it. Often leads are sold to more than one marketer so you waste your time calling people who are angry, uninterested and want off your list. You can pay more for higher quality leads, but they still don’t know anything about YOU. In my opinion buying leads directly is a complete waste of time and money.

Focus your efforts on content and social media leads, or if you are lacking time but have cashflow work on setting up a PPC campaign. The most important thing is to gain knowledge about the area of marketing you want to focus your efforts on so you can dominate that arena. MLM advertising is not always easy. It is a highly competitive arena, the trainings given by companies and leaders is often just not enough, and it can be difficult to make yourself heard. If you don’t have leads for your business, you don’t have a business.

Let’s face it, these days the only way to build a big organization is through MLM advertising online. You can reach more people, find people with shared interests, talk to others around the globe, etc. With more and more competition online though, if you don’t know what you are doing it’s easy to get left behind. Content Marketing

One of the most difficult to do, but most rewarding. Leads that you get from content marketing will see you as a leader, someone knowledgeable, etc. Because of the time involved it is much less competitive than other areas online. Content marketing is marketing through articles and videos. Creating online content and then spreading it around the web. Decide what your target market is looking to find online, create content that delivers what they want, and syndicate it around the web. Put your articles on a blog or on article directories. Put your videos on Youtube. Invite the people who use your content to learn more from you through joining your mailing list or contacting you in some way. Deliver consistently. In this strategy you want to be creating an audience base. The reason this is harder is because you have to then drive traffic to your content. You can do this through social media bookmarking, interconnecting your articles or videos, etc.

Social Media Marketing

This is a time consuming MLM advertising technique, but good nonetheless. Market yourself on Facebook and Twitter. Many people have no idea how to do this, but the basic principle is making genuine connections with others. Invite TARGETED people to be your friend. Who do you want to target? What Facebook groups would they be in? Who might they be following on Twitter? Look for these people and invite them to be friends. The more personal you can make your connections the better. Optimize your profile so you have a link to your capture page very prominently, and invite people to view it. DON’T try to get people to go straight to your company page. That is just annoying. But do continue to foster relationships and invite people to learn more about you. If you can put up a personal video to show people that you are a real person. Again consistency is key. People notice you if you are always there. The more they notice you the more likely they are to look into what you do.

Paid Advertising

This method of MLM advertising is usually the easiest and the quickest. The only downside is when you run out of money, the leadflow completely dries up. Here are several paid MLM advertising ideas:
Ezine Solo Ads- send out your message to people on a targeted list. Find an Ezine that your target market would join and find out how much it would cost to blast your email to the list. Usually between $25 and $75 a go.
PPC- This is getting harder to do with the new Google restrictions, but there is less competition than there used to be. Your landing page must be highly targeted to your keyword, and have extra content (not just a capture form).
Banner Ads- What webpages would your target market be visiting? Find out if they offer a place for you to put up a banner ad.

With any of these methods of MLM advertising it is best to choose one method to start and learn everything you can about it. Become an expert in that type of marketing so you can dominate it. Then do more than anyone else in that area is doing. The key is it’s easier to move fast than slow. No one notices the slow dribs and drabs of marketing most people do. But if you are moving fast and your message is all over, you can’t be ignored.

This includes fully understand this MLM secret and what it means to market yourself. How to market, and I mean specifically, on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Article Marketing, LinkedIn, Google PPC, etc. You don’t have to try to implement every strategy yourself, but it’s good to learn everything you can about marketing so that you can help others when they are choosing a marketing strategy that’s right for them. You need to learn about leadership and having a success mindset. You need to learn about prospecting and effectively driving people toward yes. With every piece of knowledge you gain you become more and more valuable to a prospect. The greatest thing lacking in MLMs today is decent training. Many leaders don’t know how the got over the hump and got to their initial success, and since then have been marketing and branding their own success. They have no idea how to train people to market a business. If you are able to provide decent training, you not only will be attractive to others and start growing a big business, you will also create successful people on your team and grow a huge residual income.

Demonstrate your value.

This is actually fairly straightforward. How do those successful people demonstrate their value? Usually through pictures and income claims showing what they have achieved. Pictures can be very persuasive, but knowledge is still more powerful. Demonstrate this knowledge by sharing it freely. When people see how much you have to offer when you are not paid, they will be lining up begging to join your team. They are hungry for success and will realize that you are someone who can show them the way.

As more and more MLMers discover the power and leverage of using the internet to market, you may find the internet feeling a little crowded these days. I know I am daily getting multiple requests to join this company or that company, and people I don’t know at all love to pitch me their business. They are simply following that old-school rule of playing the numbers game. Yes, the more people who you present your business to the more likely you will succeed, but it is all about how your present your business. I know that the people with the “send out enough SPAMey emails about my MLM and someone will show an interest” attitude are likely to never get very far marketing their MLM on the internet.

There is one simple rule to follow that will help you stand out from the crowd.

Make sure you are playing the RIGHT numbers game.
Online it is not about present your opportunity to as many people as you can, it is about presenting YOURSELF. People work with people, not companies. Rare is the person who goes out, finds a company, and then decides who to work with. Most people pick a company that does fit with their values, but it is usually because they believe the sponsor they are talking to is someone who can assist them to success. It’s about NETWORKING not advertising. In old school methods it was always about creating a relationship first, presenting the business second. First the person needs to know you are someone they want to work with, then if they like your company you have a match. If you try to do it the other way (business first), well, people are pretty smart. They know when they are being advertised to so very few will actually look at your opportunity. Those that do are not simply going to join off the link you sent them. They don’t have a relationship with you, they have no reason to believe that you can help them in any way. And the simple fact that you use a marketing technique that comes across as desperate demonstrates to them that you don’t know how to market and wont be able to assist them. If they have any interest in your opportunity they will probably search for a leader in your business and shop around for someone who can help them to success.

If you were marketing your business offline would you take leaflets or pamphlets that gave your prospects ALL the information on your business and just hand them out to people? Or would you use dropcards, flyers, and ads that showed people the benefits of your company and then invited them to contact you?

Too many people think Internet MLM marketing is just about driving traffic to their company overview page and forget about the basic principles behind network marketing. The same rules still apply. You must first create a relationship and demonstrate to your prospects how you can help them and be a leader to them. Then you let them see your opportunity and give them a chance to join your team.

Now, how do you play the right numbers game?
You promote yourself everywhere. Don’t lie or misrepresent yourself. Just take the time to gain knowledge and education that you can use to assist others. What kind of information is your target market looking for? Create content daily that will actually help people and then be everywhere. Use the Automatic Article Submitter to submit your articles everywhere, use something like OnlyWire to syndicate your content to social networks, create videos delivering the content in a different medium. It is often said, it’s easier to build fast than slow. So build fast, work hard, get education and get leads who actually want to know what business YOU are in.

Most people didn’t sign up for an MLM to become a slave to their business or to become an expert in HTML, making websites, creating sales funnels, etc. So if you want to take a short cut it is a fabulous idea to find an MLM marketing system that you can simply plug into and get your marketing up and running quickly.

However, it’s very important to know that you must be selective when you chose your MLM marketing system as very few of them actually work and work well. Think for a minute. Most marketing systems offer template style webpages, a built in lead tracker system, and autoresponders. If you are part of a large and successful team and your sponsor suggests that you all use this system, what happens?

You get duplicated websites. Usually there is a place for you to add a picture or two and maybe say a blurb about yourself and then what follows. Either a generic page telling people why they should be in a home business (and let’s face it, does anyone read these sites these days?) or a page that talks about the success of your leader or sponsor. The first type have very poor conversion rates and the second type brand the leader not you. So when you call your leads they wonder who you are and why you’re calling them. They thought they would get to work with the leader who’s templated page you are using.

Even if these pages did convert well in a clear cut manner it is next to impossible to get decent traffic to them. If you want your page to show up in the search results of Google it will be pages and pages down. Why? Because Google wants to deliver good unique and relevant content. If your page is an exact copy of several hundred out there it will never rank. If you decide not to bother with Search Engine Optimization and instead go for pay-per-click you will still find it very hard to get decent traffic. Even here Google doesn’t like ads to go to capture pages, it wants good content. So using these pages mean you will have to pay higher and higher costs per click to get any traffic from PPC.

So if you can’t use a system that offers only templates of leaders pages, what type of marketing system should you use? Well, there are three components of a good marketing system.

You must be able to brand yourself.
You don’t have to learn how to build a website. You just need a template that allows you to create your own content and add your own pictures or videos. There must be a way to add articles or other content to the page as this is what Google likes to see. All of us may not know how to build webpages, but pretty much anyone looking at this site can type. You want leads who know who you are, and want to work with you. So your website has to be entirely about YOU.

It must have a proven marketing funnel system.
Again, this is not just about having a good series of autoresponders. You must be delivering content and value after someone signs up as a lead. This way you can continue to show your leadership and the lead will see how valuable you would be as a business partner. Now there are a lot of components to a good marketing funnel, but one of the major ones is this. A marketing funnel should be providing good value to your leads, and also showing them good products that could benefit them in their journey to become a successful business owner. Now this means that you can use GOOD affiliate programs and actually make some money from the people who don’t join your business. And the person has found a good resource through you. Win-win. So find a marketing system that ALREADY has this in place. That has done the research to find good affiliate products and can help your prospects even if they don’t choose to join your company. This should be built into your funnel. This allows you to get cashflow to fund your marketing efforts as you build your business. Remember multiple streams of income.

Training
This possibly should be listed first. It MUST have good training, that is constantly being updated. Even if you have a great website, branding you and a fantastic funnel system you’re dead in the water without REAL internet marketing training. The old days are gone, you don’t call up 50 friends and neighbors and beg them to join your business. You must learn internet marketing so that you can get traffic to your page and you can become a valuable educated leader to your prospects.

There is only one MLM marketing system I know of that has all these (there may be more out there), but I want to allow you to find one that suits you on your own.
